Informational Benefit Forums Benefits offers a variety of informational benefit forums designed to provide information on specific benefits and access to benefit consultants to get your individual questions answered.
You have 120 days from the effective date of your eligible appointment to choose a retirement program. During the 120-day enrollment period, you may elect to participate in the Ohio Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP), Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) for staff, or State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS) for faculty. The Office of Human Resources offers retirement planning forums to help you make this decision. During these sessions Benefits Consultants will compare key features of the ARP and OPERS/STRS, and will address issues you need to consider when making your decision.
Please plan to attend one of these important sessions to learn more about your retirement plan choices. You can view a presentation of your retirement choices online at hr.osu.edu/benefits/retirehome.htm. If you are unable to attend one of these sessions during your 120-day enrollment period, you may schedule a personal consultation by contacting a Benefits Consultant at (614) 292-1050 or benefits@hr.osu.edu.
